LEAP by IIT Madras Incubation Cell

Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering is a Partner College of LEAP (Learn Engineering by Activity with Products), coordinated by the IIT Madras Incubation Cell. College has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Madras Incubation Cell in this regard. LEAP is funded by the Maker Bhavan Foundation, USA, through the IIT Madras Incubation Cell.

The major activities under LEAP are

• IIT-Style Project-Based Learning for Engineering Colleges
• Students gain skills for innovating useful products and technologies
• Students develop working prototypes, solving real-world problems
• Faculty Development Program for Faculty skill development
• Industry collaboration for Internships, Placements, LEAP programs support

Programs Offered

LEAP was founded by Prof. Timothy A Gonsalves (Founding Director, IIT Mandi 2010-2020, Retd. from CS&E Dept, IIT Madras) in April 2021.
