Nowadays, basic understanding of electrical engineering is essential for an engineer who needs to work in any industry. As electrification and automation is taking place in different industries, possession of knowledge in electrical engineering domain is essential for students in other disciplines to pursue their careers.

Institute-Industry Interaction

Electrical Engineering Division is involved in a Bus retrofitting program of the state run KSRTC and works closely with Center for Innovation for Electric and Hybrid vehicles established in the college by the Govt of Kerala. Energy Management Center-Kerala has joined hands with Electrical Engineering department to conduct programs under IEEE. Electrical Engineering Division has many interactions with organizations like KSRTC, state consumer disputes’ redressal forum etc.
