Principal

Dr. Shyji is a distinguished academician and researcher from the Department of Mechanical Engineering with over 25 years of dedicated service at SCTCE. He joined the institution in March 2001 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014. He holds a B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Shyji has made significant contributions to teaching, research, and institutional development. His research interests include fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, and rocket nozzle flow simulations, with several publications in reputed international journals and conferences.

Apart from his academic achievements, Dr. Shyji has held various administrative and leadership responsibilities within the college, including membership in the College Academic Council, coordination of the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), and supervision of the Computer-Aided Design and Analysis Laboratory. He has also served as a member of the PG Board of Studies of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU)
