IQAC Objectives


The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a pivotal administrative body within the institution, committed to fostering and maintaining a culture of quality in all aspects of the institution's functioning. Recognized as an integral part of the institutional system, IQAC is dedicated to the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

Roles and Responsibilities

The IQAC is entrusted with a variety of key responsibilities aimed at ensuring and enhancing the quality of education within the institution. These responsibilities include:

Supervision and Guidance: The IQAC supervises and guides the activities of various department committees and teams. By providing oversight and support, the IQAC ensures that departmental activities align with the institution’s quality standards and objectives.

Mission & Vision Review: The IQAC regularly reviews the mission and vision statements of the institution and its departments. This ensures that the goals and objectives remain relevant and aligned with the evolving educational landscape.

Development and Assessment of Program Outcomes (POs): Planning and developing various tools for the development, delivery, and assessment of Program Outcomes (POs) at the institution level is a critical function of the IQAC. This involves designing effective strategies to measure and enhance student learning outcomes.

Internal Academic Audit: The IQAC conducts internal academic audits twice each semester. These audits assess various aspects of course delivery, including adherence to the course plan, syllabus coverage, the quality of question papers for internal assessments, internal evaluation processes, maintenance of laboratory setups and equipment, practical assignments, mini projects, and the conduct and evaluation of practical classes. Feedback from these audits is used to devise quality enhancement programs.

Accreditation Maintenance: Maintaining accreditations from bodies such as NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) is a prime responsibility of the IQAC. This involves ensuring that the quality standards prescribed by these bodies are consistently met and implemented across the institution.

Participation in National Ranking Surveys: The IQAC actively participates in national level institutional ranking surveys such as NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework), KIRF (Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework), ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), and AISHE (All India Survey on Higher Education).
