Computer Society of India

The Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter at SCT College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, is a vibrant professional body dedicated to enhancing technical competence, innovation, and leadership among students in the field of computing and information technology.

CSI at SCT provides a platform for students to stay updated with the latest developments in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. Through workshops, technical talks, coding competitions, seminars, hackathons, and industry-oriented sessions, the chapter effectively bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world applications.

The CSI Student Chapter at SCT College of Engineering has successfully conducted several key initiatives, including:

• • Flask & Furious – a hands-on program on Flask development
• • From Idea to Impact, focusing on the Allianz Tech Championship 2025
• • From Campus to Career – a career talk by Saran Padmanabhan

The chapter is guided by faculty advisors Rejimol Robinson R R and Rejimon R, with the executive committee led by Chair Malavika S, Vice Chair Shaun G John, Secretary Sneha S A, Joint Secretary Riya Rahuman, and Treasurer Fermiya A S. The CSI Senate comprises 29 members across the Technical, Content, Media, Design, Event, Marketing, and Membership wings.

By fostering a culture of innovation, research, and continuous learning, the CSI Student Chapter at SCT College of Engineering plays a vital role in preparing students to become competent and responsible computing professionals, ready to contribute to the evolving digital world.

All activities and programs are coordinated by faculty members from the same department, along with a student committee representing all semesters.
