ARUN ANEESH MEMORIAL AWARD
This award, which was instituted in fond memory of late Sri. Arun and Sri Aneesh, two students of Computer science and Engineering department of this college, promotes academic excellence in undergraduate engineering course. The award is given every year on the 15th of August to the toppers of all engineering branches in the fifth semester B.Tech degree
DR. RUCHI SHARMA ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Dr. Ruchi Sharma was a student of the Mechanical Production Engineering branch during 1999-2003. She had successfully completed her graduation in 2003. After completing her graduation, she joined Amruta School of Business, Coimbatore, for pursuing MBA. She completed her post- graduation in Marketing and Operations in 2006. The same year she got placement at IBS Software Services as a senior business consultant. She served the company for more than 3 years. The real passion of Ruchi was sharing knowledge, an attitude she had shown throughout her life. This made her to join the KIID School of Management as Assistant Professor in 2009. And, there she taught students for 3 years.
Ruchi always had an aim to achieve more heights in her life. Her appetite to learn more made her register for the Doctoral program in September 2012 at NEOMA Business School, Rouen, France which is ranked fourth in France. Her consistent hard work enabled her to submit the thesis on time and obtained her Ph. D in Business Model, Innovation and Strategic Management in June 2016. Based on an interview through Skype she joined as Lecturer in Analytics in Business School at Coventry University UK in August 2015 Subsequently she got promoted to Senior Lecturer post in an open position in Business Analytics in June 2018. All of sudden, life’s fortune turned upside down in Ruchi’s life journey. She was diagnosed with cancer. It was expected that she will fight back bravely and come back to life. But God’s decision was different and she was taken to eternity on 5th July 2019. Ruchi lost her battle to cancer at the age of 37. In order to enlighten her memory forever in the field of education, the parents along with her Mechanical Production 1999 -2003 batch classmates, started a scholarship in the name of Dr. Ruchi Sharma. This scholarship is meant for those students who emerge as the topper in the university exam in the first and second-semester exams.
